October 14, 2008

Hello everybody! Once again your chatterbox lady Exu is on line. Paper works are on file but gotta have a break before I crack my brain... All work no play makes me dull... So stressed and tired, low census in our ICU so I declared sick from work that Saturday. I thought of going to Elsa Cruzado's 50th birthday and have fun but I ended up alone curling in bed snoring the whole day until Tim and Rochelle arrived that evening. I woke middle of the night and updated handouts for my students until 0300 for I knew Sunday, Oct 12 was going to be a busy big day for me. Well, church first before good time. Rochelle and I met Otet at the Greyhound bus station and all we went to the church. Council meeting time but I slipped away with Elsa so I can still celebrate with her her 50th birthday before going to New Jersey that evening for Zach Belt's 50th birthday, too...

Yap, almost everybody in our batch are hitting the big 50. We thank the good Lord for they have crossed the half century healthy, wealthy, happy and forever young. I can remember the time when me and Elsa went in the same nursing class and same group in the clinical area. We shared same hardship. Young and innocent then....Eh, not so innocent... After graduation we separated ways... Then must be God's plan, we are brought together in same church. I finally committed myself to be actively part of their church, now our church. Since I failed to attend her Saturday celebration, I and Otet went with her to her house after church, missing the church meeting. As usual namayabas na pod ko. But I had fun for we chatted as we ate, browsed her old piano pieces (just as old as mine), talked and eat. Only thing, I forgot my camera. Before Otet and I could leave her place, the church members and our pastor came....Oh, oh, sakpan na pod ko....:((( We had to excuse ourselves so we can continue our day's journey...Gotta go to Zachary's birthday party, too.

Filipino time as usual. We arrived late kay namunsiyon pa ka Elsa. Station 2 na ang kang Zachary...;-)))) Big "Z" was already entertaining his guests. We were all happy to see our old time friends and classmates in high school and college and some of my students way back in 1980's and other familiar faces from Dumaguete... Lemuel/Ching, Babes/Connie, Moses, Gus, Monchilou, Blossom, Marlyn/Manny, Otet and me/Tim were there. Ana, Jojo, Benchie, and Connie were there, too. We were so privileged to have a live show from Broadway artists, Zach's friends. Broadway and operatic singing with piano accompaniment. So it was a mixture of everything that we all had fun and hated to go home. Finally, at 0300 we decided to go home.

Monday we had a hangover and so drowsy the whole day.... But that was fun and I was so glad I didn't miss it. Hope Zach and Salome are back to California safely. As usual, news without pictures is an incomplete news.

So here we go again....

cyberly yours,

Jingjing
