Dear all,
With three kids in college, we cannot afford to go anywhere but just here. So we have to enjoy the local fun in Manhattan and some outskirt places around New York City. Well, one great sunny day, I went out with Rochelle and Andrew. Tim was at work to earn a living while his wife was relaxing that day. Just walking downtown and ended up wherever the wind blew us. I just followed Rochelle and Andrew. Yap, they made a big mistake. They led me to 42nd St. and guess what, I saw the naked cowboy. I had to drag Rochelle to give the collector a dollar or two so she can take my picture with this guy with his 1 and only 1% being covered. ha...ha....ha... He got the nerve to pinch my well-padded butt...he...he...he...he... Old hot mama with the naked cowboy!!! Andrew was far quite a distance. Rochelle was so embarrassed and am sure Andrew must be thinking, "is this the mother-in-law I am going to have in the future?" He has to get use of my craziness or else he has to think million times if he really wants to be part of our dysfunctional family....he...he.. Poor Andrew, I must be scaring him.
Today is my first day of my clinical with my students. The best part of it is I bring them to Roosevelt Hospital, just across the street where I live. I may miss my taxi ride crossing the Central Park from west to east early morning to catch the time and my bus ride or walking from the east to the west side on my way home. I was so excited this morning....old me, when I tried to place my keys in my pants' pocket, oops.... the front of my pants was in the back and vice versa. So I had to remove it and wear it back in a right way. Oh, I better calm down and prayed to God "please dear Lord just make my day uneventful and help me behave for this is my first day with my students." First impression, you know. However, I just couldn't help it being naughty. On our lunch break, I let them explore the neighborhood since they haven't been on the west part of the city. I let them walk to the Kinko copier in the Columbus Circle to make some copies of our papers they needed. Then I instructed them to go inside the Time Warner Mall to meet Adam and Eve. When they came back from break, one student said, " Adam's 1% is so worn out."...;-))))
Well, well, this is a real big piece of art... The artist who made this must be a descendant of Michelangelo. One day somebody will make a sculpture of this naked cowboy, too...
Okay, before I get in trouble with Tim, I better get going and have fun with my naked cowboy...Good night people of America and good morning to the people from the other side of the world.

Dear "classmateds,"
Thanks to Rochelle for teaching me how to log on to her computer and for leaving me alone in the apartment today. Yesterday I was off but I was very tired from ICU abuse... 3 isolation patients meaning gowning/gloving all the time, making me a hot, hot mama; not to mention my pre-menopausal hot flashes. I was so dead tired when I reached home. In the evening, after my long slumber, I woke up in the mood for telebabad. Monchilou was far out of contact so I tried Blossom. Yes, she had all the time chattering with me until her in-law came. So we stopped. Watched TV and later there went the phone ringing again. Oh, it was Blossom so we continued our chitchat, laughter and giggles....just like when we were in our high school days...lots of recollection...past, present and future tenses...until almost midnight and time to say, "Bye! Good night!" ha...ha...ha...
Today I am still off and in my solitude. No, I don't mean to spend my solitude in our apartment. I went out to be part of the city chaos but still maintaining my solitude deep inside me for I walked alone in my deep thoughts, playing my mind and enjoyed watching the people at the same time. Ate in my favorite restaurant and went walking until I reached the Colony Music Store. Picked up few pieces I thought of practicing in the piano and went home...Hmm, Rochelle's computer is free... So here goes my self-deprived from computer. Let me take this chance before the owner comes home....
My 6 week summer is almost over. But I cannot complain. Not bad at all. Last week of June was trip to Florida and had Rochelle's graduation party with Lennie/Mauro Ausejo and other friends. On July 4 we were visited by Lynnie Carloto-Borinaga's eldest daughter whom we used to babysit before, Ellyn Rose 19 years old. Also on July 4, I brought Tim at Benchie Diago-Bacalan's place so he had fun on his day off. I had a great time, too, even if I had to work that evening and later was so sad I had to stop my chitchat with Marlyn for we had to leave early so I won't be late. Thanks for the invitation, Benchie, for we had the chance to socialize with Ana Trueno, Grace Tubo-Riso, Jojo Sabolboro, and Marlyn Sienes-De Gui and many other old familiar faces and made new friends.
Then July 17th was a get together with my high school dorm mates and their families - with Glynda Pil-Calpo, Josette Escarda, Beng Ansaldo-Sola (Macoy's older sister); hosted by Joy Hamoy-Livara. And still looking forward to few more fun time before school commences. Hope you are all available for the Aug. 23 annual picnic in Duckpond, New Jersey and Aug 24 church service... Let's end the summer with mini reunion with our friends, classmates, dorm mates and their families and celebrate the Silliman founder's day with joy and Christian spirit,... See you all then!
